Final Training Days in Italy for the 8th Edition of the First-Level International Master in CBRNe

Last week marked the conclusion of the final Italian training sessions for the students of the 8th edition of the First-Level International Master Course in Protection against CBRNe Events.

On Thursday, the class was hosted by the Operational Training School (SFO) of the Italian National Fire and Rescue Service in Montelibretti. Here, students had the opportunity to test CBRNe masks, self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA), and personal protective equipment (PPE) in an operational training environment inside the “confidence chamber”, and to explore all the School’s advanced facilities.

On Friday, the training continued at the Central Fire Academy (SCA) in Capannelle. Dressed in full CBRNe suits, students conducted field training exercises that included the use of protective equipment and portable detection instruments in realistic emergency scenarios.

We sincerely thank:

• Dr. Eng. Domenico De Bartolomeo, Head of Training,

• Dr. Eng. Marco Ghimenti, Head of Emergency,

• The Commanders of SCA and SFO, Dr. Eng. Maria Pannuti and Dr. Eng. Raffaella Perrimezzi,

• Site coordinators Dr. Eng. Antonio Boccamazzo (SFO) and Dr. Eng. Roberto Melmenuzzi (Atomic Laboratory),

• And all the experts who contributed to delivering an outstanding educational and hands-on experience for our students—an experience that continues to distinguish the excellence of our Master Courses.
