Prof. Andrea Malizia delivers invited talk at the JCBRN Defence COE Annual Conference 2025 in Brno

From 21 to 23 October 2025, the Joint CBRN Defence Centre of Excellence (JCBRN Defence COE) a NATO center, hosted its Annual Conference 2025 in Brno, Czech Republic, bringing together experts and researchers from around the world to discuss innovation and future challenges in the field of CBRN Defence and Security.

 

Among the invited speakers, Prof. Andrea Malizia from the University of Rome Tor Vergata delivered a talk entitled:

“The Impact of Artificial Intelligence on CBRN Security”,

prepared in collaboration with Luca Martellucci, Alessandro Puleio, Riccardo Rossi, Alba Iannotti, Riccardo Quaranta, Colomba Russo, Daniele Di Giovanni, Grace Pauline Xerri, Gabriele Giuga, Sabrina Rao, and Pasquale Gaudio.

 

The presentation was part of the session dedicated to Artificial Intelligence, moderated by Col. Mariusz Mlynarczyk, whom Prof. Malizia warmly thanks for the kind invitation and coordination.

 

 

The contribution highlighted the transformative role of AI in enhancing situational awareness, risk assessment, and operational decision-making in CBRN contexts, emphasizing the growing integration of AI technologies into national and international CBRNe preparedness frameworks.
