From 27 to 31 October 2025, Alessandro Bucci, PhD candidate at the Doctoral School in Industrial Engineering of the University of Rome Tor Vergata, presented his research work at the European Space Weather Week (ESWW 2025), held in Umeå, Sweden.
The presentation, titled “Impact of Space Weather on Higher Airspace Operations and Commercial Space Operations”, is part of his ongoing doctoral research on radiological safety in aviation and space environments — a growing field of study at the intersection of aerospace engineering, radiation protection, and emerging space operations.
The work has been developed under the supervision of Prof. Andrea Malizia, who serves as the PhD thesis supervisor.
👏 Congratulations to Alessandro Bucci for this important achievement and for representing Tor Vergata’s research excellence at an international level.
