A cohort of first-level Master CBRNe students of the University of Rome Tor Vergata has successfully participated in and completed the CBRN Consequence Management Course organized by the JCBRN Defence COE. The Course, held in Vyškov (Czech Republic), is a NATO-approved training offering comprehensive exposure to the Alliance’s Consequence Management (CM) concept, organizational framework, systems, and procedures — with a strong emphasis on Civil–Military cooperation and partnership initiatives aimed at NATO and Partner Nations.
During the training, students attended modules covering lessons learned from recent NATO CM actions and exercises, and gained awareness of the essential role played by established Rules of Engagement (RoE) in enabling coherent, safe, and effective response operations in the aftermath of CBRN events. The Course also addressed critical aspects of information sharing, public and media communication, and the overall coordination processes across all phases of a CM response.
The training targeted a broad spectrum of professionals engaged in emergency and crisis management — from police officers, firefighters, medical and emergency-service personnel, to military, civil defence, and specialized units such as counterterrorism and investigatory agencies.
The successful participation of Tor Vergata’s Master CBRNe students underscores the institution’s commitment — alongside CBRN Gate and the Master’s Didactic Board — to strengthening international readiness and cooperation in the field of CBRN threat preparedness, consequence management, and resilience. The Board extends its sincere thanks to all professionals and institutions involved for their support and dedication.
